The StoryThe story to the Haunted Music Video is simple. It follows the story of an evil person (Fike) overcoming a good person (Saffell). The evil one pursues the good one relentlessly until he takes the good one's life. This is all done to the Evanescence song, Haunted. Production NotesWe began filming Haunted in late February/early March as part of Robert R. Fike's nonlinear editing class at Olivet Nazarene University. Rob had decided that he would play the role of the evil character and that Brad would be the good character. Andrew was the true visionary behind the shot selection. We were lucky enough that it was snowing out by Burke Administration building, the location used to shoot the outdoor scenes of the film. It was cold and we were all freezing, especially Andrew, who was taking the brunt of the wind. The first thing we shot was a scene in a restroom so that Andrew could get a mirror shot. It was filmed in the Larson Fine Arts Center at Olivet. The other scene we filmed was of Brad shivering, which Brad decided he could accomplish at the top of the planetarium across from the Reed building. We then decided to have Rob chase Brad up the steps of Reed. It took an entire night to shoot, and we finished up with some lip-syncing shots in Hills Hall. It took two nights to edit and was turned in in early March. |
