Mainstreet UFO believes that behind every good film is an excellent story. This foundation shapes the way that Mainstreet UFO approaches every film and corporate project. Mainstreet UFO refuses to be just a name and a loose organization like most independent studios. Rather, Mainstreet UFO has become an umbrella group to unify the entire process.
To that end, Mainstreet UFO developed the Film Team system. Each film team has a core group of developers, with an additional shell of extra development personnel that can be added as needed. In this way, the Film Team has the same people working on each project. This system allows for a more streamlined structure. Thus, each Team member is able to work with the others in a stable environment to get the project done.
Early on, Mainstreet UFO understood that independent, student run studios relied almost exclusively on volunteer actors and little-to-no budget. The results of many of these indepedent studios is often the short fan film or the aptly named 'best intention' film. Mainstreet UFO wants to avoid some of the pitfalls that can occur. For example, the best intention film often falls short of the creative vision or is never completed.
Therefore, in order to avoid both of these issues, we felt that we needed to have team members who know each other well and can use their time wisely and to the best of their ability. Otherwise, we believe that the project will fall short of what could have been acheived. The additional development personnel also act as an extended 'think tank' that can be used to expand upon the core idea of the film. Taken as a unit, Mainstreet UFO's Film Teams are able to accomplish more with a superior quality of work.
